George W. Bush (Josh Brolin), the son of G. H.W. Bush (James Cromwell) and Barbara (Ellen Burstyn), brother of Jeb (Jason Ritter), eventually marries Laura (Elizabeth Banks) and decides to run for President of the U. S. because he believes God wants him to. While in office, he must deal with such problems as Saddam Hussein (Sayed Badreya) with help from such people as Karl Rove (Toby Jones), Vice President Dick Cheney (Richard Dreyfuss), Gen. Colin Powell (Jeffery Wright), Condoleezza Rice (Thandie Newton), and Donald Rumsfeld (Scott Glenn); as well as foreign leaders Tony Blair (Ioan Gruffudd), Jacques Chirac (Charles Fathy), and Vladimir Putin (Allan Kolman).
