FBI Agent John Crawford (Jason Statham) seeks revenge on a infamous former CIA assassin now working for the Japanese Yakuza named Rogue (Jet Li). Rogue killed Crawford's partner Tom Lone (Terry Chen) after forcing Lone to watch the murders of his wife and child. These murders were revenge on Lone after he shot Rogue in the face to save Crawford's life. Crawford waits three long years until news of Rogue surfaces. Rogue is now working for the Triad, but secretly remains with the Kazuka. Rogue is staging a war by pushing the Yakuza and Triads together. Crawford is so obsessed with his revenge on Rogue that he has lost his wife and sacrificed his family, all in the pursuit if this criminal. The closer Crawford gets, the further Rogue goes.
