“The Getaway” opens with Carter 'Doc' McCoy (Steve McQueen) passing his parole hearing and being released from prison. However when he’s released, Doc discovers there’s a small catch to his release he’ll owe Sheriff Jack Beynon (Ben Johnson) a favor; Doc has to rob another bank. Doc is a bit hesitant to carry out this favor cause he’s looking to begin a new life and deep down he just knows Beynon and his now could be partner in crime, Rudy Butler (Al Lettieri) will not let him live after the heist is over. However Doc is able to show them that stopping him is not that easy. |
