Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise) is a sports agent, seemingly at the peek of his career. However, he is unceremoniously sacked from the agency he works for. In a desperate counter-manoeuvre, he calls on his co-workers to join him in forming a brand new agency. No one responds - except Dorothy (Renee Zellweger). Jerry is full of high hopes, but after lots of sleeve-pulling manages to retain only one of his former stars: Rod Tidwell (Cuba Gooding Jr.). Things go from bad to worse for Jerry and Dorothy, but just as it seems that throwing in the towel would be the only sensible thing for them to do, the wheel of fortune changes direction. |
