Jason Stevens (Drew Fuller) has been raised in a household where money was never an issue. He got everything he wanted his entire life, without having to work for anything. When his rich grandfather, Red Stevens (James Garner) passes away, Jason figures this is his chance to inherit the old man's enormous wealth. Confident that his grandfather passed along every cent to him, Jason looks forward to the reading of the will. However, he soon realizes his wishes may not come true after all, as what is written in the will is far more complicated. Instead of handing over the cash, Red has devised a list of tasks that Jason must complete before seeing a penny of the fortune! These tasks take him on a personal adventure where he learns more than he ever thought possible, and finally sees what the true gift of life is.
